The Ontario Crafts Council is pleased to announce the 2009 recipients of our Awards & Scholarships Program

Each year an annual program of scholarships, awards and supply grants is offered by the Ontario Crafts Council to assist craftspeople at various stages in their careers, as well as individuals working in support of craft, to achieve higher standards of excellence.

In 2009, just over $21,000 was awarded to twenty-three truly outstanding makers and two individuals working in support of craft; three individuals will be honored for their lifetime contribution to the craft community with the John Mather Award; and two OCC volunteers will be honored with the Volunteer Service Award.
